MORE CONSISTENT CONTACTS

A STRONGER AND MORE STABLE RING

2 dimensions , Small and Large, to ensure optimal separating force on all teeth, whatever their shape and size is.
Efficient on wide cavities. Will not collapse, even when the cusp is missing.
In all cases (premolars, molars, mesial or distal cavities, MOD,...), V3 Ring ensures you a strong contact point.
Its V shaped tines ensures you perfect stability and retention on teeth as well as an ideal cavity form which saves time spent on finishing.

EASIER HANDLING

Newly designed with inner plastic built-in tines, the V-Ring can thus ensure a perfect grip on the forceps and hold firmly in place on the interproximal surfaces (mesial and distal). It will never jump!

OFFERS HIGH STRENGTH AND DURABILITY

This V-Ring is made entirely from NiTi (nickel titanium), which soft and resilient properties ensure an exceptional tensile strength and memory retention (elasticity threshold is 5% for steel against 40% for NiTi).Steel can also expand over time while reducing the ring's strength to separate teeth. In addition, NiTi is also more heat-resistant than steel under sterilization process cycles, thus conferring more durability on the V-3 Ring.

COMPARING V-Ring and V3-Ring

VRing

Spring made from stainless steel and Nickel Titanium.

V3's spring is made entirely from Nickel Titanium. The spring strength has substantially been increased and the range of action is impressive.

NiTi has superior memory retention meaning V3 will return to its original shape, consistently deliver optimal separating force and will not expand over time like stainless steel can.

V-shaped tines

V3's v-shaped tines are made from glass-fiber reinforced plastic.

V3's plastic tines are shaped to suit the buccal and lingual surfaces of posterior teeth, thus providing superior adaptation and the ability to restore a tooth even when a cusp is missing

Stackable for mutliple restorations

Spring angle is steeper relative to occlusal plane

Stacking is now easier as there is more room to undertake multiple restorations simultaneously.

Special groove for rubber-dam forceps.

V3 is very versatile - it can be used with rubber dam forceps meaning you do not have to buy new instruments.

V3 is stable in forceps, both mesially and distally.

V3 is easy to handle; is less likely to be dropped or to jump off the forceps.

Stronger spring

Our studies have shown V3 is the strongest sectional matrix retainer ring on the market. You will always achieve excellent separation with V3.

New Narrow V3 Ring available which features closely set tines.

Narrow V3 ensures ideal separating force on smaller and difficult to separate teeth.

AS EASY AS CHILDS PLAY

Hold the V3-Matrix by gripping the tab with the Pin-Tweezers (TR2073) or the Classic tweezers (CT). Then fold the tab towards you. This enables you to easily slide the matrix into the embrasure in an apical direction .

Squeeze the wings a little to increase the curvature of the V3 matrix as this provides more room for the V3-Ring tines later.

Introduce the V3-Matrix into the embrasure, ensuring that the matrix is in the gingival crevice adjacent to the tooth you are restoring.

Keep your fore-finger on the tab to prevent it moving.
Insert the wedge and push it in firmly. Remember, you are not wedging to separate the teeth ( the V3 Ring will do this at the next stage ) so the wedges are less invasive and much easier to insert than wooden wedges for example. You should now have a good seal around the bottom of the cavity, with no colored wedge visible inside. If required, you can insert a larger or an additional wedge. Take your time, and drastically reduce flash and finishing.

As if landing a helicopter, move the V3-Ring with the forceps into position so that it straddles the wedge. Make sure that it is in direct contact with the wedge and will not go any further in an apical direction.
